Are you a pioneer in Immersive Experiences (IX), experienced with game design / development, VR, AR, MR, or 3D, and eager to use your skills for real-world impact? At Futures Lab, we’re looking for creative makers, game designers, and media students who want to help build the future of healthcare using tools like Unreal Engine, Unity and 3D software.

Our beautiful MindLabs building was officially opened in the Spoorzone, right next to the LocHal, last year. Several educational institutions, social partners, companies and governments are located here and work together here. Futures Lab is the breeding ground for young visionaries, dreamers, researchers and makers who want to change the world. You and your team tackle an issue, are supported by experts and have the latest technology at your disposal. There is also room for personal development within our academy and company visits and fun events will contribute to your job satisfaction!

Healthcare is under pressure. But you and your team will help relieve that pressure by exploring how virtual humans can find a place in the care sector. As a game or software developer, you'll work on a solution where virtual humans contribute to improving health skills. It’s all about building prototypes that are tested right away with teachers and students—so your work never ends up gathering dust, but actually gets used. In fact, your project will be showcased at DDW as soon as October!
Join the team
We’re looking for entrepreneurial students from programs such as Media Design, Game Design, Media Production, Communication & Multimedia Design, or Software Development-as long as you have experience with IX/XR, 3D, or game engines.
It does not matter whether you are following an MBO, HBO or WO course. Whether you are looking for an internship, graduation internship or place where scientific research can be conducted and a thesis must be written. Everything is possible.
